When you create an account, WebsiteScreen.com stores your email address, a one-way password hash, API key, account status, creation date, and last-login time. Capture records may include the target URL, requested dimensions, format, time, result status, account identifier, and connecting IP address.
How information is used
Account information is used to authenticate clients, issue API keys, provide capture history, administer the service, prevent abuse, and respond to support requests.
Screenshot processing
Target URLs and capture options are sent to the configured external screenshot provider so that the requested image can be rendered. Do not submit URLs containing secrets, private tokens, or information you are not authorized to process.
Cookies and security
The client and administration areas use a session cookie for sign-in and form security. Passwords are stored as password hashes rather than plain text. No method of storage or transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.
Retention and choices
Account and capture metadata remain in the site's protected flat files until removed by an administrator. You may request assistance concerning your account through Client Assistance.
